Well, worked on him some more this morning. He still has some problems and ruff edges (like how kinky his fur is, a flat nose, and some scars) But I think I'm satisfied with how he came out!
On my last coyote shoulder mount I went with a more aggressive expression this time I wanted a calm look and I think I got it.
So, is this a Coydog? I don't know. He feels different then any yote I've felt, and I've never seen one with a woolly coat (it has CURLS). He's got really short round ears, they where turned all the way and I used clay not an earliner and this is what his ears look like...short and round.
the body is going to be made into a vest for me, the legs I'm going to give to another yote that has none and the tail I'm keeping in my collection.

Professionally tanned, garment grade, wild coyote furs are excellent decorative pieces for man rooms, offices, stores, restaurants, lodges, cabins and camps with an outdoor theme or decor. Garment tanning produces soft, supple leather and bright fur. These tanned wild furs look great as wall hangings or draped across furniture.
Furs are case skinned (tube) and tanned for the fur trade. Front and rear legs are removed at or above elbow and lower jaws removed as the are not used in the fur trade. Typically faces, ears, nose eyelids are tanned as is with the intention of removing as they are not normally used in the fur trade (blankets, coats, collar trim, etc).
